Ruby Ireland update

The Ruby community in Ireland is growing. This week we reached 100 members on the mailing list. We started the mailing list back in June and have had steady growth since.

There is now a monthly meetup in Dublin (usually on the second tuesday of the month) and there has been a meetup in Belfast. There is an IRC channel (#ruby.ie on irc.freenode.net) which has regular lively discussion. The IRC channel has been great for me as I don’t make it to the meetups in Dublin. The last barcamp had two talks on rails and the next one will have one.

Here is a list of bloggers from ruby-ireland and there is a rubyireland website in the works.

So if you’re in Ireland and interested in ruby join the mailing list and drop by the IRC channel.

Update: Ruby Ireland now has a website at rubyireland.com
