Jason Isbell [1], singer-songwriter and former member of Drive-by Truckers [2] (one of my most favourite bands), is touring [3] Ireland this week.

I’d recommend going to one of these gigs if you get a chance (I’d also recommend getting your ticket from the venue rather than from ticketmaster!). It’s hard to go wrong with a cheap gig in a small venue. If you like southern rock/country along the lines of Neil Young, Steve Earle, Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd etc you’ll probably like his stuff.
